For the 5th year in a row, entrepreneurs from our thriving startup community came together to share ideas, build relationships, and have some fun at the 2016 Denver Startup Week. With attendance clocking in at over 13,000 attendees (up 30% over last year), our team at EdgeLink enjoyed being an official sponsor and interacting with so many exciting minds. It was an informative experience to attend the panels and learn even more about our local industry from our tech community peers. Continue reading

We love being part of Colorado’s tech community. There are so many dynamic voices and creative thinkers here that we are always learning something new to take back to our clients, our candidates, and our daily lives. For example, the most recent Women in Technology (WIT) Conference, held by the Colorado Technology Association on June 10th, gave us more than just food for thought: it gave us new perspectives.
The over 600 women gathered at the Denver Botanic Gardens in Chatfield to participate in the WIT Conference was an incredible sight to see. Everyone, and we mean everyone, was there to have meaningful conversations, find their inspiration, and forge new opportunities for growth. The Botanic Gardens offered a gorgeous setting for some of Colorado tech industry’s best and brightest minds to dig into new knowledge and come out stronger. Continue reading
The staffing business doesn’t have to be boring. We find that when you’re hard-wired to a business mentality at all times, you miss out on chances to really connect with people. That’s why we get involved with the Denver Startup week, mix with great minds at Go Code Colorado, CTA (Colorado Technology Association), numerous technology meetups and my personal favorite event: C-Level Ski Day
This was the 5th year we were part of the C-Level/Technology Leadership Ski Day. This is by far my favorite “work event,” if you can call it that, of the year. We cosponsor Colorado Ski Day, an event arranged by ViaWest, along with a number of great names in the Denver technology community. This is a great opportunity to show appreciation to our partners, get out and enjoy a day of skiing, mingle with other technology leaders, eat, and of course drink some beers. Continue reading
Denver’s recognition as a hotspot for IT professionals has helped keep our local market dynamic. Our average IT salary is at about $94,940 and many diverse technical professionals can find work for competitive wages.
Like the rest of the nation, we are also seeing a rise in contingent IT workers, a group that is becoming an evergreen part of the talent landscape.
What types of businesses are IT contractors in Denver the most valuable and which types of IT positions can expect the greatest demand? Continue reading
Denver Startup Week 2015 is the 4th year of the event and it’s picking up incredible momentum. Over 10,000 people attended sessions all over the city, filling up the 235 scheduled events with barely an empty seat to be found. Can you believe that? Denver Startup Week is becoming massive and is showing the rest of the country that our Denver startup community is a serious contender.
Thanks goes out to the Colorado Technology Association and people like Erik Mitisek and Tami Door. Through their hard work, the community really comes together to make this such a great week of events. Continue reading
