May Consultant Recognition Awards

Talent Groups is thrilled to recognize Amanda Welsby and Laura Johnson as our Consultants of the Quarter! Amanda and Laura are RDQA Senior Project Managers at one of Talent Groups’ most distinguished pharma clients. Their manager had the following to share:

“I cannot say enough about this dynamic duo - Amanda and Laura operate like a SEAL team finishing each other’s sentences. They can look at each other as the three of us deliberate and strategize, and I can see they’re having conversations without using words because they just “know.” It can be disconcerting at times, but it’s a reflection of that “hive mentality” that I’ve so often read about but never actually quite seen up close.

What is most striking about these two is their ability to run full-blown Operations at a tactical level in order to ensure swift execution and delivery of our portfolio and deliverables while also simultaneously considering the bigger picture and folding in lessons learned, known gaps and of course incredible solutions into the overall backend Inspection Readiness Strategy Framework. In the spirit of Continuous Improvement, we (and by “we” I really mean “they”) have been developing this crucial framework for our entire Portfolio, so that all programs moving forward benefit from the lessons and pain points experienced in the past. The proof is in the pudding, and having experienced two inspections with our third on the horizon, each time our Operations have been exponentially smoother, more automated, and seamless to the point that I have even checked in on why things are “so quiet.” It is because we are using tools that Laura and Amanda created that weren’t available to this team before they were a part of it.

This team has had to manage some extremely difficult and rigid mindsets who have been set in a “this is how it has always been done” mindset. Although stakeholders may have initially been closed to new and better ways of doing things, Amanda and Laura have, through much patience, tenacity, tact, and uber diplomacy, gently and passionately shepherded their stakeholders into new ways of thinking. These changes have elevated the culture to be more automated, efficient, and innovative in our approaches. More recently I had to take on a new interim leadership role which limited my availability and bandwidth to manage Inspection Readiness activities as closely as I would have liked, yet I trust Laura and Amanda implicitly to take the helm and continue running point, which they have done so masterfully.

To Amanda and Laura I say this: “Thank you for speaking up, for offering your thoughts and opinions in a constructive and respectful manner, but also staying true to my own visions and strategies only to make it better through our collective collaboration. While we have plenty of work to do, I meet the challenge head on and with eager anticipation only because I know you have my back, our backs, and we can’t possibly go wrong with this brilliant team. Thank you and Congratulations!”
