Denver Startup Week 2015 is the 4th year of the event and it’s picking up incredible momentum. Over 10,000 people attended sessions all over the city, filling up the 235 scheduled events with barely an empty seat to be found. Can you believe that? Denver Startup Week is becoming massive and is showing the rest of the country that our Denver startup community is a serious contender.

Information Week and Dice previously ranked Denver among the top 10 U.S. cities for IT professionals and it continues to entice Millennials to the region. The Denver IT market is finally getting its dues. Back in February, Information Week and Dice partnered up to release their list of the hottest cities for IT professionals and Denver was in the top 10. That’s no surprise to people in Colorado.

On May 21st, 2015, members of the EdgeLink Denver team witnessed the final round of the Go Code Colorado competition unfold first-hand. Sponsored by the state of Colorado, Go Code Colorado challenged development teams statewide to create apps using public sector, open source data to help local businesses make smarter decisions. The final round pitted nine teams against each other for one of three $25,000 grants and hands-on tech sector mentorship sessions.
Edgelink was represented at the event by Amanda Grochowalski and Ashley Martinez, both Senior Technical Recruiters on the EdgeLink Denver team. Amanda said, “one of our candidates was a member of the MentorMatter team and anyone who knows EdgeLink understands that we were ecstatic to see one of our candidates reach so far.” Continue reading
