Getting the Edge on Mitch

First job:
When I was 16, I serviced Candy Crane Machines throughout Colorado. I would drive throughout the state once every other week and clean, refill and repair the machines if needed. The games were “play until you win,” and I still see them sometimes today when I’m out and about.

Something most people don’t know about me:
I have been to Japan, I have two nieces and three nephews, I was born in Oklahoma City, I played Baby Jesus in the church Christmas play when I was six months old, and I can recite the entire Aladdin movie.

Worst job:
I worked for a construction company one summer during my college years in Amarillo, Texas. I ran a jackhammer or a huge 905 Hilti drill all day long, busting up pavement in the scorching hot Texas weather. Let’s just say that was plenty of construction experience for my taste.

Favorite quote:
"Enjoy life. There's plenty of time to be dead." Ralph Waldo Emerson

Favorite thing to do outside of work:
I love living so close to the beautiful Rocky Mountains where I can enjoy hiking, camping, biking, skiing, snowboarding and white water rafting. I also love playing softball and spending time with friends and family.

Who inspires you?
My parents are my biggest inspiration. They have and continue to inspire me through their positive outlook that never seems to fade. Besides, any two people that could raise the crazy kid I was as well as they did would probably inspire most people.

Things your mother would approve of:
Attending church, reading a good book, spending the day hiking in the mountains, a phone call from me to her just to say I love you and going home for the holidays. These are actually words that came directly from my mother.

Favorite food: No question here… my mom’s poppy seed chicken.

Favorite hobbies:
Go Rockies! Go Nuggets! Go Broncos! I can often be found at one of the games in Denver.
