Angie arrived at EdgeLink in the fall of 2007 with six years of recruiting experience. In her position as a Technical Recruiter, Angie is responsible for business development, account management and recruiting. Prior to joining EdgeLink, Angie served in escalating sales and account management roles with emphasis on building long-term relationships with her clients. Angie holds a BS in Economics from the University of Oregon and is an avid Duck fan. Angie lives in Southeast Portland with her family. She enjoys hiking, running, biking and all sports (especially college). Getting the Edge on Angie Worst job: Telemarketer for Supermarket surveys. I would call people on Saturdays and ask them to take a 20-minute survey on grocery stores. I would skip questions to make it shorter! First job: I worked at a frozen yogurt shop serving fro yo, cashiering, and opening and closing shop. Worst thing you can ask someone in this profession: “What does chocolate taste like?” Favorite quote: "I don't know how to put this but I'm kind of a big deal. People know me. I'm very important. I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany." - Ron Burgundy Favorite thing to do outside of work: Hang out with my family and son, Will. Run, bike, hike, outdoor recreation. Pet(s): We have gone through three beta fish recently…all of them died within weeks. Who inspires you? My son, Will. Things your mother would approve of: Work ethic, desire to succeed, compassion and empathy. Favorite food: I love all kinds of food. I currently do not have a favorite. I love Mexican, Italian, Asian fusion, Peruvian (Andina), and Pacific NW seafood. Favorite music: Very diverse musical taste. From Classic Rock—Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, The Who, Grateful Dead, Fleetwood Mac, etc. to Alternative—Stone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains to what I call "College/Indie"—Dave Matthews, Freddy Jones Band, Big Head Todd, to Reggae—Bob Marley/Toots and the Maytals, to Hip-Hop! Favorite hobbies: Run, bike, hike, shop, college sports, especially Ducks football. |
